Antarctica

We, first of all would like to express our gratitude to Prof. M.S. Pandian, Dr. Rajneesh Bhutani, Dr. S. Lasitha and Dr. Shreyas Managave for their presence and encouragement.

This evening, at twilight, as the Sun bid us farewell, along with heavy downpour of blessings, we successfully screened a documentary named "Antarctica - The Ice Forms". It was a special episode of the Horizon series by BBC, UK and premiered on 6th November 1997. This documentary speaks about the probable cause of the formation of Antarctica from the Super Continent - The Gondwanaland.

After the documentary was over, Dr. Bhutani gave his insights on the documentary. He, along with Prof. Pandian and Dr. Lasitha, responded to curious queries of our treasured audience. Before concluding the event, we announced the upcoming Logo and Slogan Competition (Last Date: 28th September 2013).

We once again express our heartfelt gratitude to our esteemed faculty members and participants, for getting on board with us and making it a positive and successful event.

Thanking you all.

Best Regards,

Earth Sciences Club of Pondicherry University
